Russia isn’t your normal surfing nation, but new documentary movie On The Wave looks like it might break new ground, if not breaking actual Arctic ice.

The movie premieres December 6th week in Bali’s Cocoon Club – probably a more sensible and surf-friendly option than St Petersburg. Featuring a cast of big names, as well as the legendary Kelly Slater, it’s an interesting insight into what Russian surf really means, and what their surf culture is actually like.
