Do you want to be a travel writer? Rough Guides are offering the chance to be one, courtesy of a large bundle of cash that you can spend on a round-the-world trip, a free iPad and the chance to blog for their website as you travel the planet.

It’s part of their recent relaunch as one of the true greats of travel publishing. Teaming up with travel firm North South Travel, they’re offering a trip for two people worth up to £4000, as well as the Apple tablet to write on and blogger’s rights on the Rough Guide website.

Entrants need to sign up to RoughGuides.com and comment on the contest article with 100 words or less on “the place that changed me.” The RG staff will pick their favorite entry. The competition went live last week, is open to US and UK residents, and closes on February 22, 2013.
