These Italian made goggles can be likened to the offspring of a pool-goggle-and-diving-mask romance. Aside from the nose bridge they offer an unobstructed peripheral view with a face-hugging silicone seal that creates an ideal fit for sea swimming. The mask can be tightened or loosened while on – in a single motion – and provides prolonged comfort as the seal traces your cheek bones rather than your eye sockets. That said, smiling under the sea can result in breaking the vacuum but more serious swimmers should find them a real pleasure. It should be noted that for the freediving inclined this product is not recommended for more than two metres below the surface. Obviously more bulky than their petite pool goggle mothers, they do come in a protective case to save them from damage in holiday hold baggage.
Verdict
Gone are the days of treading water while you fiddle with fasteners, these goggles are easily adjusted while on and provide excellent vision and comfort when swimming in the big blue.
