The Pearl Izumi Elite III sits in a vast range of shoes within the £200 price bracket. The shoes combines a Patent Pending 1:1 Anatomic Buckle Closure System, ELITE Carbon 1:1 Anatomic Plate and lightweight one-piece leather upper to create an ultra efficient, lightweight performance shoe at a great price.

The shoe is incredibly comfortable to wear out the box incorporating enough features to attain a great fit. The super-stiff sole provides great power transfer and once seated in a suitable set of pedals you feel a great connection with the bike. We loved the buckle closure system which was a cinch to use and getting the right fit was a doddle even on the move.

If we had one criticism it would be the ventilation. The feet tend to get overheated on long rides which is a shame in what otherwise is a great shoe. Overall, the Pearl Izumi Elite III are a feature rich, great looking pair of shoes that compete against many others in the £200 price range. Well worth a look.
