Now into its third year, TrekAmerica’s ‘8 Mates across the States’ competition is now open for entries. One lucky winner will be given the chance to take seven friends on the road trip of a lifetime across the sprawling plains of America.

The winner and his/her chosen companions will depart (free of charge) from London flying to Los Angeles on June 29th 2010 courtesy of Continental Airlines. The trip itself will consist of 10 days in North America and prizes will include a super-stretch limo tour of Las Vegas as well as a tour of Arizona’s world-famous gorge, the Grand Canyon.

Continuing from there the group will maunder north along the Pacific Coast Highway to America’s gold rush city, San Francisco, home to the Golden Gate Bridge and the infamous island prison of Alcatraz.

Next, the group will head to the hills for six full days of camping in the heart of the North American wilderness, surrounded by the awesome scenery in some of America’s most spectacular national parks including Yosemite and Zion. The final stop of this incredible trip is in Las Vegas, for a cruise down the strip in a super-stretch limo. ? ?

For more than 36 years, TrekAmerica has been giving young, budget-minded travellers the opportunity to enjoy all the fun and excitement that North America is famous for, from big cities to small towns and deep into the spectacular national parks and wilderness areas.

So if you fancy following in the tradition of Thelma and Louise or Bonnie and Clyde – without succumbing to the same grizzly fate – then go to the following website to be with a chance of winning this trans-American jaunt of a lifetime: www.trekamerica.com/8mates/
Entry closes 10th of May 2010.
