Lovers of Into Thin Air and Touching the Void will be flocking to see the new documentary The Wildest Dream. It's an epic mountain journey told in a fantastically gripping style: back in 2007, Conrad Anker and Leo Houlding went to Everest to replicate the 1920's expedition that left the world's greatest climber, George Mallory, dead.

Using the same equipment and route that would have been used by Mallory, the documentary follows the two climbers as they attempt to find out the answer to the greatest riddle of mountaineering: did Mallory make it to the summit?

After discovering Mallory's frozen body on Everest, Anker has been captivated by his story. Last seen just a few hundred feet from the summit, and found without a photograph of his wife that he promised to leave at the peak, the clues are there. The Wildest Dream sets out to discover if it really could be a reality.
