OllyDog Saddle Up

Smart backpack for your four-legged friend

OllyDog Saddle Up

Promise

It's a saddle. For dogs. The blurb says it lets your dog carry its own weight, comfortably and securely. It boasts large double-zippered saddle bags which can hold lots of gear, grab handles at the top and even reflective patches on the side so Fido has the benefit of 'high vis'. It comes in small, medium and large.

Performance

This is really a backpack rather than a saddle. We tested it on Scruff, one of the WideWorld dawgs, and went on a four mile hike. Scruff still managed to run off into the distance, cool off in the stream, and even take a poo wearing the Saddle Up and didn't seem phased at all. What's great is it can relieve you of some of the essentials that can otherwise mean bulky (human) pockets: poo bags, treats, fold up water bowl (to be reviewed on the WideWorld site in future), keys, mobile phone. You'd probably look a bit silly taking the dog for a walk round the local park or into town with one of these things on, but this is for the WideWorld reader who wants to hike with the four legged friend.

Verdict

Fantastic. We love it. Great for ruff-ing it (sorry)
