Performance
How often have you gone on a trip - whether it be for a weekend or for longer - and cursed the rucksack you brought to damnation. It's too small. The laptop in the laptop sleeve still managed to get dinged every time you went through a doorway. There was no room for your SLR camera. Trust me, we've all been there. In fact, until now, I hadn't actually found any rucksack that did the trick. When I go away I have to take work with me - I need my camera, and not just a small point-and-shoot, plus I need space to stick my wallet, phone, sunglasses and a change of clothes. And finally, after years of searching, I've found one. I roadtested the Lowepro Fastpack 250 on a trip to Virginia where I was covering the Dominion Riverrocks festival for WideWorld. And as usual, I needed all of the above - and more - with me (plus about five magazines for the plane journey).
I can report that the Fastpack 250 is a lifesaver. It's the backpack I've been waiting for for a long time. The pockets are all designed for easy access, the laptop fits with room to spare for those magazines, the straps are comfortable and adjustable, and even with all those things inside, it's still not too big and bulky. Plus you get the hardwearing, tough material and stitching that Lowepro is known for.
Verdict
Works like a charm. WideWorld recommends this without hesitation.
