Sony Cyber Shot TX1
Promise
The electronics giant awakens again with a pocket-sized digital camera that’s rammed with brand new technologies. But do they really make a difference?
Performance
Just 14.1mm thin, this is a seriously skimpy camera. It doesn’t skimp on performance, however. It comes with Sony’s new Exmor R sensor that gives you much more clarity in low light conditions, while a super-fast processor gives you speeds of up to 10 frames per second – brilliant for action photography or wildlife shots. With 10.2 megapixels to play around with when you get home, the TX1 takes shots large enough to blow up, crop and edit as you like so your on-the-move snaps become natural masterpieces.
Verdict
Good looking model with the smarts to back it all up: the best compact we’ve seen for a while.
