Top climbing brand wants to sell you smalls – how do they rate?.

Performance

With a combination of synthetic microfibres and merino wool, Mammut’s range of underwear is designed to keep you warm and dry, with some good wicking properties. It’s cleverly designed so each material is where you need it most, such as the merino located at knees and elbows to keep these high-contact areas warm when wet. Areas that sweat more – armpits, middle of the back and behind the knees – are predominantly artificial fibres that will dry fast.

Verdict

Really well-fitted garms in some brilliant colours, these really feel like they’ll stand up to a good kicking.

Long-sleeved zipper high neck top, £70; long-sleeved crew neck top, £60; long pant, £55
