A British fashion designer has taken inspiration from famous mountaineers to produce an explorer-inspired line of jackets.
The New York Times has recently published a piece about Nigel Cabourn’s collection, giving a refreshing insight into a man who has made the unlikely matching of the outdoors and fashion. The Times reveals Cabourn has a passion for tales of those who have conquered Mount Everest. It also notes he has an appreciation of Sir Edmund Hillary and even based a jacket on the one the legendary explorer wore during his first summit.
He was also inspired by George Mallory and Sandy Irvine who attempted Everest in 1924.
