A 36-year-old woman is hoping to become the first disabled woman to sail solo around Britain.
Hilary Lister, 36, attempted it last year but was thwarted by bad weather and technical issues so it was put off until now.
In 2005, Lister, from Canterbury, made history by becoming the first ever disabled person to sail solo across the English Channel. Her new challenge has already begun - yesterday she rounded Land's End.
She sails her Artemis 20 yacht each day, and at night she's towed into port. Lister's team records the latitude and longitude from her GPS, and tows her back to the same spot the following day.
Lister anticipates it will take three months.
She was diagnosed with a degenerative disease when she was younger and began sailing in 2003 which she credits with 'providing a fresh impetus and transforming her life'.
