Promise
An online browser-based media manager that streamlines portable devices and online social network media.
Performance
In short, it's a free online hard drive that offers seamless management and uploading ability with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. All that is required is that you sign up for an account. But here is where the beauty lies, it is all stored remotely and there is no limit to the amount you upload. No file size limit, no download limit, no speed limit, nothing.
This surely is a dream for any snap-happy traveller. Months of backlogged photos from your whitewater rafting trip in the Canadian Rockies and videos of you bungee jumping in New Zealand can take up all the space on your memory card, not to mention being susceptible to damage or theft. A Dazzboard account offers a great solution to storing them online so you can reach them whenever you need.
Where Dazzboard really shines is its straightforwardness. From the website's uncomplicated layout to the basic drag-and-drop organization of files once you've plugged your device in, no installation needed. Simplicity is definitely the name of the game behind the Dazzboard.
However the website is still not complete and is currently not available for Mac users or for users of Google Chrome. These updates are on their way but perhaps its biggest flaw is that despite its ability to instantly recognise up to 100 different mobile devices, the awesomely popular Apple iPhone is not one of them.
Verdict
Not yet at the peak of its powers, but should render itself as a must-have for travellers before too long.
