Helly Hansen Gaia boot

Promise

Technical boot that's built to give maximum comfort for your feet against all the elements

Performance

A perfect mid-height boot for four seasons, the Gaia is tougher than it initially looks. Generous padding and a deep sole lend the boots a slipper-like air, but inside there’s some hardcore performance to please the outdoor enthusiasts.

A unique cushioning and stability system has been designed for Gaia, using a lightweight EVA midsole for cushioning and a special mid-foot area that increases traction and control. Around the heel area you’ll also find a new substance padding out the protection: Helly Jelly. This material gives excellent shock absorbtion even in uneven and slippery terrain – and feels pretty nice on the foot too.

Gaia are built from a combination of textiles and synthetics in the uppers, all lined with waterproof and breathable Helly XP, while large rubber studs on the sole give amazing grip, even in the snow.

Verdict

A great pair of comfy performance boots: you could enjoy these in the snow as much as on a wet deck or just trail running, thanks to the combination of breathable waterproof materials and clever sole technology.
