Titan XS durable hard drive
Promise
Small, rugged hard drive for the outdoor-lover on the move
Performance
The Titan bills itself as the world's smallest portable USB hard drive, but the really amazing thing about this little device is the sheer amount of space available on it (320 GIGS!) for all your documents, photos, video and other media. So why is WideWorld reviewing a hard drive? Not very adventurous, you might think.
Think again: this hard drive is perfect for the outdoorsman or woman on the go. Think about it: you're off on an expedition, travelling to some far-flung spot for a backpacking vacation or just off on a cycling weekend but you've brought your Netbook so you can blog about your trip and save your photos and video on the move.
The Titan will hold all - and more - of the files from your main desktop computer back home and it'll backup the files you create on the road. It's incredibly lightweight and small enough to slot into the side pocket of your backpack. It also boasts durable rubber housing that protects it from knocks, drops, spills and the sort of wear and tear you might encounter, well, adventuring.
WideWorld tested the 320 Gig model, but it also comes with an astounding 500 Gig or 640 Gig memory as well. the Titan is a must-have accessory to back up your data.
Verdict
The Titan has firmly established itself in WideWorld's 'must-have' gear list for 2010.
