Performance

As you would expect from Oakley, these sunglasses look the business. Available in a mind-boggling spectrum of colours, there is a scheme to match even the most extravagant cycling outfit. The main selling point here is the new ‘Switchlock’ interchangeable lense technology: a brilliant innovation that lets you change the lens depending on the environment you are in. In practice, this is a doddle. Simply unclip the pivoting nose piece, change the lens and lock the nose piece back into position.

We were supplied with two set of lenses: one for extremely bright conditions, and another set for medium brightness. We tested them over two days in the sun and rain. I’ve rarely used sunglasses in the past and having used these I would never go back. On test the optical clarity of these sunglasses is simply superb. This is due to Oakley’s High Definition Optics (HDO) and Hydrophobic technology. They are very comfortable on the face and stayed put no matter how wet they got thanks to the Unobtainium rubber on the nose and ear pieces.

The frames come with your choice of two interchangeable lenses as well as two interchangeable nose pieces for a perfect fit and a neat carrying case to keep everything safe.
