Promise
We don't shy away from the practical here at WideWorld. If there's a problem with the way we roll, we want it fixed. While you're not going to buy the world's first inflatable roofrack for your partner's birthday, you can't deny its awesome utility: it packs down into a tiny box, inflates in seconds and fits to any car roof. Partnered by its holdall companion, could this be the answer to road trip packing blues?
Performance
Yes, it inflates within seconds. Easily, and from your car lighter socket. And it really does fit anything. Normal roofracks - if you've ever bought one - cost a bomb. They only fit a certain model or make of car, meaning when you change vehicle, it's worthless - and you can't just clamp it to your friend's wheels when they're giving you a lift to the beach. That's the beauty of this product: versatility. It's strong enough to hold a canoe aloft without worrying about it bobbing down the central reservation of the M4, and the HandiHoldall (comes separately, £79.99) gives you an extra 280 litres of packing space. That's about the same as three huge suitcases.
Verdict
Great for surfers, skiers, canoeists and that big camping trip where you can't leave anything at home. The biggest bonus is that you can take it off quickly too, so you don't ruin the look of your car with two great metal bars on the roof.
