Overboard Backpack Dry Tube
Promise
A high-performance waterproof packfrom the UK’s most popular sailing bag firm.
Performance
We’re all guilty of overexpectations when packing. Even if you’re only heading to the beach for the day, it’s easy to assume that your backpack or satchel is a safe sanctuary for your gear – even when you’re loading it up with expensive gadgets, sunglasses and the like. Don’t fall prey to salt, sand and sploshing this year: get hold of a proper dry bag and it’ll save you in the long run. Overboard are a great start: a folding top opening keeps all your stuff safe inside and the welded seams make it dry even when you drop it in the drink – where it will bob along nicely.
Verdict
This new backpack version, being a 60 litre job that’s big enough for all your gizmos, shoes and clothes, still has room for detail: like a interior pocket for small items and a clear window to save you rummaging round in the dark. It’s a cut above your dry stuff sack and worth the dough.
