Promise
Performance-enhancing sports undergarms that are developed to help your muscles, circulation and posture. But can these budget compressors compete with the big boys?
Performance
We’ve tried several brands of compression wear in the past. The science seems to add up: keep your underlayers of clothing skin-tight and elastic, so that in hugging your muscles, they actually keep your posture correct, stop your muscles from vibrating and push blood from the skin surface back to where it is needed. In trying this set out, we took them for several runs, and can say that we felt a benefit. Less rubbing and chafing, and even better wicking properties than normal cotton clothing were just two other features we could point out. These particularly have an antimicrobial ‘Silver Finish’ that stops bacteria from breeding – and should stop your undercrackers from niffing a bit between washes too!
Verdict
Comfortable, good sizing and no bad stitchwork on either the top or shorts bode well for the future of these: they washed up fine and so far have failed to smell bad. The best thing of all is the price – at under twenty pounds for the shorts and the top you can’t go wrong.
