The USA's biggest mountain sports festival is under a month away and although tickets are selling out, there's still time to register.
The Teva Mountain Games, which takes place from June 4th to the 7th, sees professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes compete in a variety of sports including a cross country mountain bike race up Vail Mountain, road cycling, extreme kayaking, and the GNC Ultimate Mountain Challenge - a multi-discipline team event.
In addition, there's a mountain photography competition, adventure film school, film festival and live music.
According to Michael Brown of the Serac Adventure Film School which works in conjunction with the games to host filmmaking classes, it's the perfect venue to see world class outdoor athletes compete in one spot.
“We run an intense, hands-on course where students finish a film in a week. The kayaking events are great: class 5 runs on the Eagle River – it's really hard white water and our filmmakers can get down next to the water and shoot incredible angles. There's world cup climbing too where the best climbers in the world, like Chris Sharma, compete.
For the first time in the history of the games, the fly-fishing event has sold out and organisers say climbing is close to selling out.
