Apricot Kernels

Promise

Here at WideWorld we’re dedicated to finding the best trail scoff we can, and recently bagged a – er, bag – of Tropical Wholefoods’ Apricot Kernels. These are the tiny hearts that are found inside the stone that we usually lob away in the compost, but surprisingly make a great trail snack.

Performance

Crunchy, nutty, and flavoured with either chilli or tamari, they’re like a halfway house between nuts and seeds. A snut, perhaps. Rammed with mono and polyunsaturated fats, they’ll release energy as you go. That is if you don’t snaffle the whole pack before you leave the house…

Verdict

For some people they might feel a bit like you're eating a conker, but we're big fans - especially the chilli. They don't hold back on the hot stuff.
